Mr. Claussen was born and raised in Miami, Florida and has maintained ties to the South Florida community throughout his entire life. He graduated from Miami Country Day School in 1996 and attended Wake Forest University in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Mr. Claussen graduated from Wake Forest in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in Business and received his law degree from the University of Florida in 2004, with honors. While in law school, Mr. Claussen was a member of the Trial Team and competed both at the state and national level, his team placing second nationally at the 2003 Association of Trial Lawyers of America competition and attending the invitation-only tournament of champions competition.
After graduating law school, Mr. Claussen accepted an associate position at the law firm of Johnson, Anselmo, Murdoch, Burke, Piper & McDuff located in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. His practice there focused on commercial litigation, employment litigation, and tort law in the municipal context.
Mr. Claussen left Ft. Lauderdale in 2006 to join Clarke Silverglate & Campbell, P.A., where he focuses on civil state and federal litigation.
