Ms. Ruiz’s practice includes the defense of federal and state civil rights claims, class action, employment discrimination, wage claims, product liability, medical malpractice, and defense and prosecution of complex commercial matters.
Ms. Ruiz grew up in Miami, Florida. She graduated from Hialeah-Miami Lakes Senior High School, and went on to attend St. Thomas University, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice, with honors. She received her Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from the University of Miami in 1999.
Ms. Ruiz served as an intern to the Honorable Barry L. Garber, United States Magistrate for the Southern District of Florida. She also interned with the office of the United States Attorney for the Southern District of Florida.
