Professional Experience
Mr. Ravich represents individuals and corporations in the prosecution and defense of general and complex civil lawsuits in state and federal court. Mr. Ravich’s practice focuses on aviation law, business torts, class actions, contract disputes, and products liability. Mr. Ravich has first-chaired both bench and jury trials. See, e.g., Gottlieb v. Carnival Corp., 367 F. Supp. 2d 301 (E.D.N.Y. 2005); S&B Invests., LLC v. Motiva Enters., LLC, 2004 WL 3250306 (S.D. Fla. 2004).
Pro bono work also is an important part of Mr. Ravich’s practice. Mr. Ravich has served as a volunteer tutor of the Florida Bar Minority Bar Passage Program (2000-2005), and he has served on the Board of Directors of Legal Services of Greater Miami, Inc. since 2004. He is a recipient of the “Put Something Back – Unfair Sales” Award for Outstanding Pro Bono Contribution.
Mr. Ravich teaches Aviation Law at the University of Miami School of Law, and is an adjunct professor of trial and appellate advocacy at Florida International University’s College of Law. Mr. Ravich is a cum laude graduate of the University of Miami School of Law, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the University of Miami Business Law Review and a member of the Iron Arrow Honor Society. Mr. Ravich has been elected a fellow of the American Bar Foundation, an honor limited to one percent of all attorneys in the country.
He is the Third Vice President of the Greater Miami Aviation Association and serves on the Florida Bar’s Aviation Law Committee. Mr. Ravich earned his Masters in Business Administration in Aviation Policy and Planning from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and serves as an “Expert Legal Commentator” for Matthew Bender/LexisNexis in the area of aviation law. He has written and spoken extensively about aviation issues in the United States and abroad.

Mr. Ravich is the President of the Dade County Bar Association (“DCBA”), the largest voluntary bar association in the State of Florida. He chaired the DCBA’s Professionalism Committee from 2004 to 2006, and has published and organized several professionalism-related articles and programs:
